Types of Counselling

NH is a very friendly counselling practice, and I want to help, so I welcome enquiries if you are not sure about what to expect, or if you have not had counselling before.

I counsel clients from the age of 11 to 65 plus.Your first session will be an assessment where you can discuss your issues, and what you hope to achieve from your counselling. This assessment will help me decide what therapy is best to suit the issues you present with and it will inform you of the different types of therapy that may be used, and how they can help you.

Counselling sessions are £60 per hour for individual and £70 per hour for couples therapy, but if you prepay for 6 sessions then the cost is reduced to £300 for individual therapy and to £360 for couples therapy, and should be paid via bank transfer at least two days before the start of your therapy to qualify for the discount.  An information sheet will be emailed to you with more detail prior to your first session at the practice.

  For therapy to be effective, it is expected you will need a minimum of 6 to 12 sessions.  Some clients depending on what they present with, may need more.
